What is Belladrum?
The Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival is a music and arts festival, held on the Belladrum Estate near Inverness, in Scotland. It is normally held at the start of August. Founded in 2004, the festival has rapidly grown in popularity and has sold out in advance every year since 2008.
In 2018 around 26,000 people attended the event every day enjoying acts such as Primal Scream, Paloma Faith and Professor Green.
What did Pat Munro Waste do at Belladrum?
Pat Munro Waste has provided a full turnkey solution for Belladrum’s dry waste for the past 9 years.
- We have been involved in the planning of designated areas for waste, locations for skips and bins and the location of any large equipment such as bin lorries and hook containers, as well as requirements for litter picking and post clean up.
- During the event we provided a team of litter pickers working both day and night shift.
- Utilising ATVs we worked around the site dealing both reactively and proactively to the need to empty bins and clear waste areas.
- Belladrum Festival covers a large area (including woods, roads, streams & fields) and this all needed to be cleaned by the Friday evening after the event finished.
- Once any discarded tents had been taken by local charities, we utilised a specialist litter picking hoover to clear as much debris as possible before a manual pick of the site occurs. Surrounding woods, gardens and roads were checked, and where required, cleared of any litter.
- Skips, hook containers, bin lorries and bins are all filled with waste and removed from site.
- Once we felt ready a walk and drive round was conducted with the Estate Owner and Belladrum Festival Project Manager to ensure that everyone was happy that the site was back in a pristine condition and was suitable for other uses including agriculture.
